I have notice from Senator Hildegarde Naughton that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to outline the effect of the proposed repeal by the British Government of the Human Rights Act on the Good Friday Agreement.

I have also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to give his views on the future development of a Cork-Limerick motorway.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and the HSE to publish the 2014 perinatal mortality rates for each of the 19 maternity hospitals in view of the recent adverse media coverage on this matter.

I have also received notice from Senator Paschal Mooney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline the reasons his Department has failed to approve the establishment of a CAT at Sligo Regional Hospital as the provision of such a service would not only be cost neutral but would also save lives.

I have also received notice from Senator Marie Moloney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection to clarify the delay in paying incremental arrears due to temporary clerical officers who worked for the Department of Social Protection but have since finished working for the Department.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Naughton and Bradford and they will be taken now. Senators Burke and Mooney have withdrawn their Commencement matters which I had selected and there was not sufficient time to select another matter for discussion today. Senator Moloney may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
