I have notice from Senator John Whelan that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:



The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to outline how his attendance on behalf of the Government at this week's 2015 international conference on wind turbine noise in Glasgow, Scotland will help to inform public policy in this area.
I have also received notice from Senator Kathryn Reilly of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to provide an update on the consultation and evaluation process for a new Garda station in Bailieborough, County Cavan, and for her to indicate when the process will conclude and when a decision can be expected to be made.
I have also received notice from Senator Thomas Byrne of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to specify the provision of special needs assistants for preschool children in County Meath which comes within his responsibility.
I have also received notice from Senator Darragh O'Brien of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to provide an update on the provision of sports, recreational and physical education facilities at Balbriggan community college, Balbriggan, County Dublin.
I have also received notice from Senator Lorraine Higgins of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to indicate a timeframe for the delivery of decisions on section 14 applications for ministerial consent to the National Monuments Service Ireland made by Galway County Council regarding the wall at Kilrickle Church, County Galway, and the North Gate, Athenry, County Galway.
I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to furnish details of all repayments received under the fair deal scheme from the estates of deceased fair deal scheme recipients.
I have also received notice from Senator Marie Moloney of the following matter:
The need for the Minster of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to outline whether he will consider changing the tendering procurement process to funding by region only to ensure jobs are kept in regional areas in the light of the emphasis being put on regional areas in the Action Plan for Jobs.
I have also received notice from Senator Gerard Craughwell of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to discuss the employment of counselling psychologists in the HSE.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Whelan, Reilly, Byrne and Darragh O’Brien, and they will be taken now. Senators Higgins, Colm Burke, Moloney and Craughwell may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
