I have notice from Senator Thomas Byrne that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to meet residents of Brú na Bóinne, County Meath, and to listen and respond to the concerns expressed by them at a public meeting organised by her Department on 26 February regarding the draft management plan for Brú na Bóinne.
I have also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to state whether he will consider the reintroduction of town councils as part of the fabric of local government and local democracy.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion and they will be taken now.
