I have notice from Senator Denis Landy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection to clarify if she is giving consideration to providing access to the full social welfare payments to people who were formerly self-employed and now find themselves unemployed.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection to intervene and resolve the case of a disabled 18-year-old in Clare.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection to immediately reverse the cutbacks to community employment schemes.

I have also received notice from Senator Deirdre Clune of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to ensure that the €35 million funding allocated for community mental health teams supports the treatment of eating disorders.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to reclassify Down's syndrome as a low incidence disability in order that children with Down's syndrome get teaching and learning resources appropriate to their needs.

I have also received notice from Senator Denis O'Donovan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to discuss the impact of the €0.9 million cutback on the 2012 budget for Bantry General Hospital; and if there will be bed closures, staff reductions and any loss of any other post that may adversely affect the staff of the hospital; and if he will confirm that the proposed reconfiguration will be advanced as committed by the last Government.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to request all local authorities including town, city and county councils to have on their websites, the names of the employees who are responsible for the management of individual departments and the names of persons who are responsible for each individual area within each department, so that citizens can identify the relevant person who has responsibility for their query.

I have also received notice from Senator Mark Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to outline the amount spent on water treatment plants in the past 15 years.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Landy, Conway, Ó Domhnaill and Clune as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
