I have received notice from Senator Paul Bradford that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to consider the introduction of measures to encourage and support the development of primary medical centres across the country.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to give approval to go to tender for the bundled Dungloe and Glenties sewerage schemes.

I have also received notice from Senator Brendan Ryan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide an update on the planned re-roofing of Balbriggan community college, County Dublin, as part of the asbestos management programme, given the fact that the roof is leaking and presents a serious health and safety risk to pupils and staff.

I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to co-ordinate the building and renovation of Garda stations, given the inputs of the OPW, his Department and the Garda Síochána, as in the case of Carndonagh Garda station, County Donegal.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary White of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to outline his views on the effect on local independent radio stations of levies of €2,000 a week or €90,000 per annum payable to the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland under the proposed budget, given that the advertising revenue of these stations has fallen by up to 30% in the past year.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Bradford, Ó Domhnaill, Ryan and Keaveney as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Bradford, Ó Domhnaill and Ryan and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator White, as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. Senator Keaveney may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
