I move:

That, pursuant to subsection 2o of section 2 of Article 25 of the Constitution, Seanad Éireann concurs with the Government in a request to the President to sign the Social Welfare and Pensions (No. 2) Bill 2009 on a date which is earlier than the fifth day after the date on which the Bill shall have been presented to her.

On a point of order, the carry on of Deputy Buttimer in the House on a regular basis cannot be tolerated by anybody.

The Members opposite started cheering. Senator Ellis may laugh, but he has just voted against the ordinary people of Ireland. Shame on him.
