I have received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to make the necessary changes to ensure students can apply for their student grant at the same time as they apply for their college place in January 2010.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to outline the plans he has to allow people to vote from home and extend the postal franchise for elections.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
