I have notice from Senator Maria Corrigan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to give an update on the current status of the request by the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy to be registered as a designated profession within the meaning of section 4 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to clarify when the proposed building programme for Scoil Mhuire, Moycullen, County Galway, will receive sanction.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to ensure there will be no reduction in teacher numbers at Aphort national school, Aran Islands.

I have also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to use the flexibility allowed under section 8 of the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Bill 2009 to recognise the serious anomalies and injustices perpetrated by subjecting university research workers, in particular those in receipt of funds under the Health Research Board post-doctoral research fellowship scheme, to the pension levy.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to exempt fishermen who do not target cod or who have caught less than 1.5% from the days-at-sea scheme, and to ensure the polyvalent entitlements of these fishermen are safeguarded.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Corrigan, Healy Eames and Ó Domhnaill and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.

Any division called today will be taken manually with Senators walking through the lobbies. The electronic voting system will not be in use until the new seating arrangements have been put in place.
