I have notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to explore with his Northern counterpart, the GAA and the federation for sport in the North the potential for an all-Ireland sports for peace project.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to clarify the decision to cancel the sports capital programme for 2009, and whether he will put in place a mechanism to support and assist local sporting and community voluntary organisations.

I have also received notice from Senator Nicky McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to honour his commitment under Transport 21 to proceed with the upgrading of the proposed N4, Mullingar to Longford-Roosky scheme, to benefit the people of the midlands.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Keaveney and Buttimer as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator McFadden as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
