I have received notice from Senator Healy Eames that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to confirm his commitment to the western rail corridor, the single public transport project in the west, and his commitment to the funding and the timeframe for delivery of the project.

I have also received notice from Senator O'Malley of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to discuss the prospects of a competitive bus market in the Dublin region.

I have also received notice from Senator Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to outline the existing pension provision for members-workers of Cork, Dublin and Shannon Airports under the DAA and to outline the plans he has to avert strike action on 2 July.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Healy Eames and O'Malley as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.

I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Buttimer as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. It is a matter for the DAA.
