I have received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to ensure that the Dublin to Derry aircraft is based out of Derry airport rather than out of Dublin.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to cease the cuts being imposed on the Cork School of Music.

I have also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to outline the Government's plans to curtail the price of diesel fuel because of its knock-on affect on the consumer price index.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to commit to ensuring the proper dispersion of the student services charge by higher education institutions throughout Ireland and to guarantee that all moneys collected through the student services charge are invested in student services and are not used to pay down institutional debt.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to confirm his commitment to the western rail corridor, the single public transport project in the west, and his commitment to the funding and the timeframe for delivery of the project.

I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and I have selected Senators Keaveney, Buttimer and Ross and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The remaining Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
