I have received notice from Senator Buttimer that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister of Education and Science to make a statement on the urgent need for the provision of a new national school at Star of the Sea primary school, Passage, County Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to reverse the exorbitant price increase in school transport.

I have also received notice from Senator John Paul Phelan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the current position with regard to the McCarthy report concerning the future of second level education in New Ross town and the surrounding areas.

I have also received notice from Senator Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide an update on the Finn Valley College building project in County Donegal.

I have also received notice from Senator Fitzgerald of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline a timeframe for the delivery of the proposed second level school for south Lucan on lands at Kishoge Cross which the Minister's Department has agreed to in its submission to South Dublin County Council on variations to the Clonburris local area plan.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Buttimer, McFadden and John Paul Phelan and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ó Domhnaill and Fitzgerald may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
