I have received notice from Senator Diarmuid Wilson that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide an update on the provision of a regional hospital for the north east.

I have also received notice from Senator Frances Fitzgerald of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide, without delay, the necessary and vital facilities required by young cystic fibrosis patients.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary White of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to give an up-date on the results of Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as modified by the Planning and Development (Amendment ) Act 2002 relating to the provision of social and affordable housing.

I have also received notice from Senator Denis O'Donovan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to explore the possibility of the restoration of the Cork-Swansea car ferry service as the lack of same has huge implications for the Cork-Kerry region in relation to tourism and trade.

I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline his position in relation to having environmentally friendly heating and lighting of public buildings, given that the new public offices in Buncrana, County Donegal are just commencing but are to be fuelled by oil.

I have also received notice from Senator John Paul Phelan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to remove the existing cap on community employment schemes to ensure all participants on the scheme can remain until reaching retirement age.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to clarify the situation with regard to the timetable for the design and construction of the new St. Angela's secondary school in Cork City.

I have also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to grant permanent recognition to Glasnevin Educate Together primary school.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Diarmuid Wilson, Frances Fitzgerald and Mary White and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Denis O'Donovan, Cecilia Keaveney, John Paul Phelan, Jerry Buttimer and Shane Ross may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
