I have received notice from Senator Norris that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to intervene to provide temporary means of access to allow the Swiss Cottage, a notable heritage site in Cahir, County Tipperary, to open to visitors this year.

I have also received notice from SenatorCummins of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide adequate resources to allow the City of Waterford VEC continue its programme for adult and community education in Waterford.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to provide a justification for his repeated failure to provide adequate water treatment capacity for the area that includes Longford town, Clondra, Ballinalee and Edgeworthstown, their environs and rural areas between them.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Norris and Cummins as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret I have to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Bannon as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. It is a matter for Longford County Council.
