I have received notice from Senator Mooney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social and Family Affairs to outline the progress he has made in extending free travel to recipients of Irish pensions resident in the UK.

I have also received notice from Senator Tuffy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social and Family Affairs to put new procedures in place to speed up the processing of forms for agents collecting social welfare payments on behalf of claimants who are unable to cash their payable order books due to illness or loss of mobility; and if he will consider providing special priority envelopes for such applications.

I have also received notice from Senator White of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children to outline the number of older people categorised as "delayed discharge" in Dublin hospitals who will not apply for subvention for long-term care or, with subvention, would still not have sufficient funds to pay for long-term care.

I have also received notice from Senator Ulick Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children to intervene with the Health Service Executive, western area, to appoint a school dentist at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, where 24 national schools have been without dental services for the past three months.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Mooney, Tuffy and White and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Ulick Burke may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
