I move:

That pursuant to subsection 2 of section 2 of Article 25 of the Constitution, Seanad Éireann concurs with the Government in a request to the President to sign the Civil Registration Bill 2003 on a date which is earlier than the fifth day after the date on which the Bill shall have been presented to her.

Perhaps it is because the original Bill was over 100 years old.

Did the Cathaoirleach say it was a Cabinet decision? This is the Seanad.

On a point of order, if the Leader is presenting a motion for earlier signature to the House, we have the right to debate it.

I am putting the question that the motion be agreed to.

Before the question is put, this House must agree to an amendment to the Order of Business.

I am putting the question; we can have no further debate on the matter.
