I have received notice from Senator Higgins that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to approve the necessary funding for the extension of the Ballyhaunis sewerage scheme to Derrymore, Ballyhaunis, County Mayo.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to explain why towns which did not qualify under the original scheme but urgently need incentives to survive are not allowed toparticipate in the town renewal tax incentive scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Glynn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to take steps to ensure that the operation of jet skis and ski boards are in accordance with good safety practice on all waterways within the State.

I have also received notice from Senator Finucane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to indicate the current position on the provision of a radiotherapy unit at the Regional Hospital, Limerick in view of the submission and financial assistance available from the Mid-Western Hospital Trust and also the justification of the provision of this facility by the Mid-Western Health Board.

I have also received notice from Senator McCarthy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to reverse forthwith his decision to discontinue community development programme funding to the Sherkin Island Society.

I have also received notice from Senator McHugh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to indicate when the refurbishment project to Ballyraine national school in Letterkenny, County Donegal, will progress to advanced architectural planning and when it will go to tender.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and I have selected Senators Higgins, Bannon and Glynn's matters which will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Finucane, McCarthy and McHugh may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
