Private Business. - The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Charters Amendment) Bill 2002: Report from the Examiner of Private Bills.

Report from the Examiner of Private Bills that in The case of the application for leave to introduce The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Charters Amendment) Bill 2002 the Standing Orders have been complied with.

10:30 am

An Leas-Chathaoirleach:

I move: "That the report be laid before the Seanad."

These are formal proceedings and the general principle of the Bill, as in the case of a public Bill, will be discussed on Second Stage. The report, a copy of the Bill and an explanatory memorandum on the Bill were circulated to each Member and copies are available in the Seanad office. The report is simply the decision of the Examiner that the Standing Orders relative to Private Bills has been complied with and that the Bill is a Private Bill. The next Stage will be Second Stage which must be taken first in the Seanad.

Question put and agreed to.
