I have received notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to explain the reason Ireland has not signed the Oviedo Convention which, among other matters on human rights, prohibits the cloning of human beings.

I have also received notice from Senator Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to take account of the severe storm damage in coastal areas at the weekend and make provision to alleviate the financial hardship caused to a number of fishermen whose boats were damaged and whose livelihoods have been put at risk.

I have also received notice from Senator Terry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to take immediate action to carry out remedial works on Chesterfield Avenue, Phoenix Park and provide traffic lights at the junction of the Ashtown Gate and Castleknock Road.

I have also received notice from Senator Minihan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline the reason for the delay in awarding the building contract for the new Cork School of Music.

I have also received notice from Senator Morrissey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to explain the reason for the delay in providing permanent accommodation for Scoil an Chroí Ró Naofa Íosa, Huntstown, Dublin 15.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Henry, Daly and Terry and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Minihan and Morrissey may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
