I have received notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to indicate who, if not the Irish taxpayer, will pay for historic liabilities in medical indemnity claims in view of the changes he has made in medical negligence cover in this country.

I have also received notice from Senator McHugh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to amend immediately the Redundancy Payments Act to provide a minimum of three weeks' pay per year of service.

I have also received notice from Senator Finucane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to provide funding for Shannon Foynes Port Company to carry out remedial works to prevent tidal flooding at Foynes, County Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator Terry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to urgently review his proposal to implement car parking charges at outer suburban rail stations.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Henry, McHugh and Finucane as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule Senator Terry's matter out of order as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
