Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Bill 2020: Instruction to Committee

I move:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 187, it be an instruction to the Committee on the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Consequential Provisions) Bill 2020 that it has power to make provisions in the Bill in relation to the continued application, after the end of the transition period, of the defence of qualified privilege, in a defamation action, to the publication of certain statements concerning certain events in, or connected with, the United Kingdom, and to make other consequential amendments required to take account of the changes above.
