I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputies Lisa Chambers and Aengus Ó Snodaigh - the need for the Minister for Defence to make a statement on a serving Air Corps whistleblower who is facing discharge as a result of a work-related industrial dispute and the need to ensure the military authorities are aware of and fully comply with whistleblower protections, especially where they pertain to but are not limited to whistleblower allegations relating to compliance with health and safety regulations, bullying and sexual harassment; (2) Deputies Mary Butler and David Cullinane - child psychology services in the Waterford area; (3) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the need to discuss the problem of joy-riding and anti-social behaviour in Dublin Bay North; (4) Deputy Kevin O'Keeffe - the urgent need for the appointment of a full-time medical officer and the restoration of respite care services at St Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy, County Cork; (5) Deputy Joan Burton - concerns related to the future of cultural institutions such as concert orchestras; (6) Deputy James Lawless - to discuss decisions on the Leixlip and Celbridge local area plans; (7) Deputy Joan Collins - to ask the Minister of Children and Youth Affairs why she has not replied to the proposed solutions outlined in the child care professional group's report that was emailed to her office on 14 July and 19 October 2017; a delegation from the Inchicore child care professional group met her departmental officials on 29 March 2017 to outline the situation on the ground in lower Inchicore, Dublin 8, with regard to underprivileged vulnerable children's needs not being met; the report emailed to the Minister was a follow-up on that meeting; (8) Deputies John Lahart, Louise O'Reilly, Mattie McGrath and Jack Chambers - the cancellation of Garda overtime in the Dublin metropolitan area in the run-up to Christmas; (9) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss changes in the manner in which positions on community employment schemes are advertised and how applicants apply for same; (10) Deputy Brian Stanley - to discuss with the Minister recent flooding in Mountmellick and other areas of County Laois and what flood prevention measures can be put in place to alleviate the problem; (11) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss the need for road infrastructure investment in east Cork; (12) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss the need to reform the pyrite remediation scheme with regard to qualifying criteria and the manner in which infill testing is being conducted; (13) Deputy Gino Kenny - the future of the rare disease technology review committee; (14) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the fact that Facebook paid just €30 million in tax in Ireland on revenue of €12.6 billion last year; (15) Deputy James Browne - the need for the Minister for Health to review the criteria and practices for recruiting psychologists to HSE positions; (16) Deputy John Brassil - the need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the provision of Respreeza; (17) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the "RTÉ Investigates" programme on hospital consultant practices; (18) Deputy Dessie Ellis - to discuss under the heading of Topical Issues the role of local authorities in the delivery of maintenance works and not being reliant on the private sector; (19) Deputies Richard Boyd Barrett, Eamon Ryan and Barry Cowen - the death of the rough sleeper in Ranelagh and the plight of the homeless facing Christmas; and (20) Deputy Declan Breathnach - to ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he will introduce a defined timescale for all schools in the payment of minor works grants; if he is aware that delays in the payment of approved minor works grants are causing financial difficulty for schools in trying to keep their accounts in credit; the fact that the Department has stated minor works grants will be considered in the context of its overall capital position, which is unfair for schools desperately in need of the moneys; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The matters raised by Deputies Lisa Chambers and Aengus Ó Snodaigh, Joan Burton, Joan Collins and Declan Breathnach have been selected for discussion.
