Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Amendment) Bill 2012: First Stage

I move:

That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act in the public interest, to provide for the amendments to the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Amendment) Act 2011 in order to provide for the reduction of the remuneration of judges, military judges, certain other office holders; to provide for the amendments to the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act 2009 in order to provide for the reduction in remuneration of Members of the Houses of the Oireachtas, public servants; amendments to the Superannuation and Pensions Act 1963 in order to provide for the withdrawal of special pension provisions for all current and future Secretaries General.
