I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy John O'Mahony - the need for the Minister to allocate funding under the 2009 core airport management operational expenditure subvention scheme to Ireland West Airport, Knock; (2) Deputy Eamon Scanlon - the construction of a replacement school for Carn national school, Gurteen, County Sligo; (3) Deputy Ciarán Lynch - to ask the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if it is her intention to provide sufficient finance to continue the provision of area co-ordinators in the family mediation service in the southern and western regions and if she will make a statement on the matter; (4) Deputy Seán Sherlock - the plans in place under the rural transport programme to provide transport services to those in rural areas which do not have adequate public transport services; (5) Deputy Joe Costello - the need for the Minister for Health and Children to resolve the bed crisis in the Mater Hospital and St. James's Hospital; (6) Deputy Seymour Crawford - the updating of the electoral register; (7) Deputy Tom Hayes - the need for the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to confirm his plans for Department offices in Tipperary town, taking into account the geographical necessity of having a Department office in south Tipperary to allow farmers to do business, and also taking into account the importance of the jobs to the town; (8) Deputy Seán Fleming - the need to discuss the plans to lay off 120 workers at the Meadow Meats Factory in Rathdowney in the immediate term and the fears for the jobs of the remaining 80 workers in the plant, the devastation this will cause in Rathdowney, County Laois and all the surrounding areas in view of very little alternative employment in the area and the need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to negotiate with the company with a view to retaining these jobs in County Laois; (9) Deputy Dan Neville - the need for a new school in Kilfinane, County Limerick; (10) Deputy Joe McHugh - the need for the Minister for Education and Science to re-visit his decision to dismiss a teacher from a primary school, given that it will result in one teacher being forced to teach five classes - primary infants through to third class - which will undermine the second teacher in her efforts to teach students (details supplied); (11) Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh - the urgent need for the Minister for Health and Children to intervene and prevent the cuts to the number of respite beds in Cherry Orchard Hospital and to make a statement on the matter; (12) Deputy James Bannon - the need for the Minister for Education and Science to consider the establishment of an educational campus for the benefit of the Longford region in the recently closed Connolly Barracks, Longford, County Longford; (13) Deputy Andrew Doyle - the need for Crohn's disease to be added to the long-term illness list; (14) Deputy Brian O'Shea - the need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to take appropriate urgent action to address the jobs crisis in Waterford; and (15) Deputy Seán Power - the GAA player grant scheme.
