I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to debate the following urgent matter, namely, the claim that illegal undersized mesh for gill nets, which were seized and put into storage over the past three years under a third party by the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority have recently been sold back to Spanish trawlers, some of whom may have had them seized from them in the first instance; and that very little action is being taken against non-Irish vessels which are flouting the law in this regard, in comparison to the attention focussed by the SFPA and neighbouring vessels on Irish boats, despite the fact most of the vessels operating in Irish waters are from other EU countries and most illegal fishing is carried out by boats from these states.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to debate the following urgent matter, namely, the need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Deputy Mary Coughlan, to intervene and save 30 security jobs at the Darndale-Belcamp village centre. Elsa Security is staffed by locals and provides security services at this centre and the management is seeking to terminate immediately employment of all staff and outsource security services. If security is outsourced, it will lead to more unemployment in the area and a rapid deterioration of the centre and surrounding areas.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to debate the following urgent matter, namely, the need to change or revisit order 2004 under section 161 of the Local Government Act 2001 in view of the fact it prevented a person from standing in the local elections because he was a firefighter.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to debate the following urgent matter of national importance, namely, the failure by the HSE to recoup €160 to €200 million owed to it in unpaid bills, which will further threaten the provision of essential health services which are being withdrawn throughout the country due to financial constraints such as the failure to complete phase 2B of Longford-Westmeath Regional Hospital, for which €66 million was ring-fenced by the Fianna Fáil Government in 2002 and has not yet been delivered upon.
