I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe Costello - the need for the Minister for Education and Science to acquire a site for the construction of a permanent school for Gaelscoil Bharra, Cabra, Dublin 7; (2) Deputy Denis Naughten - the lack of primary school places in Roscommon town; (3) Deputy Tom Sheahan - the decision not to admit jarveys which do not have equine sanitary devices fitted into the national park, Killarney, County Kerry, after 8 June 2009; (4) Deputy Michael D. Higgins - the urgent need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to explain the rationale underpinning cuts to library services, his view on what will be the consequences of these actions and if, in light of this decision, he will seek to ensure that these cuts are reversed and local authorities will be asked to ring-fence these necessary library services; (5) Deputy James Bannon - the reason application forms in respect of funding under the lottery sports grants for 2009 are not yet available; (6) Deputy Mary Upton - the closure of wards at Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin; (7) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan - the urgent need for the HSE to provide a digital mammography machine at Kerry General Hospital to replace the machine that was decommissioned in March 2009; and (8) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the need for the provision of adequate funding to the Road Safety Authority in view of the number of fatal road accidents recently.

The matters raised by Deputies Mary Upton, James Bannon, Tom Sheahan and Denis Naughten have been selected for discussion.
