I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss a matter of specific and important public interest requiring urgent attention, namely, the urgent need for a full debate on how jobs will be created and maintained in the Border region, which has suffered more than most with the winding down of jobs in the furniture industry and the timber frame industry, by firms such as IJM and Century Homes, the Kingspan Group plc and Roadstone, and the food industry, by firms such as Grove Turkeys; and the fact that inward investment has not been attracted to the area by IDA Ireland and that no real support has been given to the tourism industry, despite great efforts on the part of individual companies. These problems are worthy of a full debate and action is required.

Tar éis breithniú a dhéanamh ar an ní ardaithe, níl sé in ord faoi Bhuan-Ordú 32. Having considered the matter raised, it is not in order under Standing Order 32.
