Prison Building Programme: Referral to Joint Committee

I move:

That the proposal that Dáil Éireann approves the development of a prison in the District Electoral Division of Kilsallaghan in the County of Fingal in respect of which copies of documents as specified in section 26(2) of the Prisons Act 2007 (No. 10 of 2007) were laid before Dáil Éireann on 14th May, 2008, be referred to the Joint Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights in accordance with paragraph (2) of the Orders of Reference of that Committee, which, not later than 5th June, 2008, shall send a message to the Dáil in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 87, and Standing Order 86(2) shall accordingly apply.
