I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seán Sherlock — the proposal to cut the number of consultants operating in Mallow General Hospital; (2) Deputy Joe McHugh — to state whether the HSE has received notices of withdrawal from contracts from pharmacists, whether the Minister for Health and Children will outline the details of the HSE's contingency plans to ensure patients gain access to medicines, especially in rural areas, and whether she will indicate what steps, if any, are being taken to try to resolve the dispute; (3) Deputy Dinny McGinley — the critical situation in Scoil Mhuire, Stranorlar, County Donegal, due to a lack of space, inadequate facilities, overcrowding and the urgent need to replace the school as soon as possible; (4) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan — the delay in appointing design team consultants for the proposed new school at Blennerville, Tralee, County Kerry (details supplied); (5) Deputy Denis Naughten — the need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline her plans for the provision of acute medical and surgical care facilities for the people of Roscommon, Galway, Westmeath, Longford, Leitrim and Offaly following the HSE's decision to close the inpatient surgery and accident and emergency departments at Roscommon County Hospital and transfer them to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, on an interim basis; (6) Deputy Dan Neville — funding for A Vision for Change; (7) Deputy Chris Andrews — that the Minister introduce the sale of flats scheme as a matter of urgency, give a timeframe for its introduction and outline the reasons for its delay; (8) Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh — the urgent need for the Minister to address current anomalies in the regulation of public service vehicles, in particular limousines, and to publish the recent report on the matter by the Road Safety Authority; (9) Deputy Kieran O'Donnell — the plans the Minister for Health and Children has to resolve the dispute with pharmacists to ensure that the public can have access to medicines under all community drugs schemes; (10) Deputy Rory O'Hanlon — the provision of facilities for post mortem examinations in the north east; (11) Deputy Ulick Burke — the need to provide adequate accommodation at a school in County Galway; (12) Deputy James Bannon — the need for the Minister for Education and Science to give the go-ahead for Ballymahon Vocational School's refurbishment project to go to tender without further procrastination or reconsideration on her part and if she will make a statement on the matter; (13) Deputy Joe Costello — the need to update the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 to ensure that multiple sclerosis patients can avail of the best treatment under medical prescription; (14) Deputy Leo Varadkar — that the Minister for Foreign Affairs make a statement to the Dáil on the efforts he is making to support the struggle for individual freedom, human rights, press freedom and democracy in the People's Republic of China and whether he will use the opportunity presented by the Olympic Games to increase pressure on the socialist regime; (15) Deputy Charlie O'Connor — to ask the Minister for Health and Children to take immediate action to ensure that the HSE will continue to fund the hospital in the home service, based in Tallaght; (16) Deputy Willie Penrose — the need for the Minister for Education and Science to ensure progress on the new school building for Athlone Community College, which was given approval for architectural planning in November 2006; (17) Deputy Thomas McEllistrim — to grant university status to the Institute of Technology, Tralee; (18) Deputy Simon Coveney — the assurances given in terms of financial assistance to Cork Airport; and (19) Deputy Margaret Conlon — the need to consider patient services and patient safety in Cavan-Monaghan given the publication this week of an interim report on the east transformation programme which will see a reduction in services in Monaghan General Hospital.

The matters raised by Deputies Sherlock, Coveney, Burke and McEllistrim have been selected for discussion.
