It is proposed to take No. a12a, motion re referral to joint committee of Competition Act 2002 (section 18 (5) and (6)) Order 2007; No. a12b, motion re referral to joint committee of proposed approval by Dáil Éireann of proposed planning scheme for Poolbeg Peninsula; No. 18, Criminal Justice Bill 2007 — Committee Stage; and No. 1, Protection of Employment (Exceptional Collective Redundancies and Related Matters) Bill 2007 [Seanad] — Second Stage.

It is proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, that: (1) the Dáil shall sit later than 4.45 p.m. and that business shall be interrupted not later than 6.45 p.m.; (2) Nos. a12a and a12b shall be decided without debate; (3) Committee Stage of No. 18 shall be taken in Committee of the whole Dáil today, notwithstanding the order of the Dáil of 27 March, and that the proceedings thereon shall, if not previously concluded, be brought to a conclusion at 3.30 p.m. by one question which shall be put from the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments, include only those set down or accepted by the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform; (4) the proceedings on Second Stage of No. 1 shall, if not previously concluded, be brought to a conclusion at 5.15 p.m., that the speeches of a Minister or Minister of State and of the main spokespersons for the Fine Gael Party, the Labour Party and the Technical Group who shall be called upon in that order shall not exceed 15 minutes in each case; that the speech of each other Member called upon shall not exceed ten minutes in each case; that Members may share time; that a Minister or Minister of State shall be called upon to make a speech in reply which shall not exceed five minutes; and (5) Question Time shall be taken at 5.30 p.m. for 75 minutes and, in the event of a private notice question being allowed, it shall be taken after 45 minutes; and the order shall not resume thereafter.
