I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Eamon Ryan — if the Minister will outline the proposed role for Mr. Barry McSweeney with regard to the proposed new energy research council; (2) Deputy Burton — the situation whereby children with severe disabilities from Scoil Mochua in Clondalkin are unable to access the facilities of the national aquatic centre; (3) Deputies Boyle, Deenihan, Allen, Kelleher and Lynch — the Minister's views on the leaked contents of the letter written to her by Cork-based consultant Dr. Seamus O'Reilly; (4) Deputy Michael D. Higgins — the need for the Minister to publish a report on the health, safety and basic conditions of Traveller halting sites; (5) Deputy Healy — the urgent need for the location of an emergency ambulance service in the town of Carrick-on-Suir to serve the town and surrounding area as it is not possible for the ambulance service to meet the recognised response times, particularly for road traffic accidents and heart attacks; (6) Deputy Crawford — the urgent need for a full disclosure by the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children to advise what steps, if any, she has taken regarding the surgical difficulties at Monaghan General Hospital; (7) Deputy Cowley — to ask the Minister if he will call a halt to the Corrib gas pipeline, as planned, until a safe means of bringing the gas ashore can be agreed; and (8) Deputy Ferris — the future status of Kerry General Hospital.

The matter raised by Deputies Boyle, Deenihan, Allen, Kelleher and Lynch has been selected for debate.
