Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32
11:00 am
Denis Naughten (Roscommon-South Leitrim, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of urgent national importance, namely, in light of the damaging revelation last night by the Irish Blood Transfusion Service that the personal data of over 170,000 donors have been stolen in New York, the urgent need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide a full and detailed statement to the House on the current situation and the steps being taken to protect these donors from fraud or other abuses of their personal data.
