I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss a matter of national importance, namely, the urgent need to invest in our health service, making the care of our patients a priority and to support urgently our nurses regarding their pay and working conditions; to look at new and creative ways of resolving this dispute in order to build and develop a quality health service in our country; and to call on the Minister for Health and Children and the Government to act on this priority issue.
