I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the Government's failure to channel enough resources into the fight against drugs and related gun crime demonstrated by two shootings in the Dublin 12 area in 12 hours today and the failure of Operation Anvil to deliver on its purported objective of tackling gun crime as a result of under-resourcing and despite the courage of the gardaí, leaving thousands of Dublin residents at risk.
