I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the widening economic gap between the BMW region and the southern and eastern region as verified by the most recent figures from EUROSTAT, which indicate the BMW region has a GDP that is 92% of the EU 25, while the southern and eastern region is at 149%, and which underline the need for the Taoiseach to reassess his contention that the BMW region is performing better on all analyses than the southern and eastern region.
