Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
4:00 pm
Olivia Mitchell (Dublin South, Fine Gael)
I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the increasingly chaotic conditions pertaining at Dublin Airport, the dangerous overcrowding which has reached new heights in recent weeks and which can only worsen over the summer months, the extraordinary circumstances which led to the first ever peace time failure of the fuel supply to a major international airport; the need to consider, even at this late stage, the installation of a fuel supply pipe from Dublin Port; and the urgent need, in the interests of public safety and public sanity, to take measures to ameliorate the chaotic conditions for passengers and workers alike.
