I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the ongoing crisis in accident and emergency units where, according to the Irish Nurses Organisation, there are more than 300 people on trolleys, in particular in Tallaght hospital where a man suffering from acute asthma and emphysema who needs complete rest and quiet was left on a trolley in a corridor for seven days.
