Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.

12:00 pm

Jerry Cowley (Mayo, Independent)

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Deputy Dempsey, to act on the report of the Centre for Public Inquiry which has raised grave concerns about the safety of the Corrib gas onshore pipeline; the need to stop the project until safe alternatives to bringing in the gas can be realised and to discuss the undue access to the planning process identified in the report by those promoting the project on behalf of Shell and its partners.
