I wish to move the adjournment of the Dáil to discuss the serious implications for the future of the Irish maritime fleet and the plan by Irish Ferries to seek the redundancies of 543 Irish staff with a view to replacing them with lower paid workers from abroad as well as the possible consequences for labour relations generally and social partnership in particular; and the need for the Government to intervene.
