Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
10:30 am
Séamus Healy (Tipperary South, Independent)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the announcement by Waterford Wedgewood of the loss of 495 jobs, including the closure of its Dungarvan plant; the loss of 110 jobs in Waterford City and the urgent need for the industrial development agencies to immediately secure replacement jobs for the areas affected including Dungarvan, Waterford and Carrick-on-Suir.
