The IFA does not get any money from the levy. Separately, the farmers pay a weight-based collection charge, which might make up another €4 million or €4.5 million. That is overall funding for the scheme.

If you want to look at a breakdown of our costs, between €9 million and €9.5 million is spent on collecting and recycling it, and a bit on administration.
