Scrutiny of EU Legislative Proposals

The first item on the agenda is to consider various EU proposals. The European Union established in December 2006 a European globalisation adjustment fund to provide assistance to workers made redundant as a result of major structural changes in world trade patterns. The following linked proposals relate to applications for funding from Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, France and Germany and pose no issues for Ireland.

The first is COM (2012) 53, a proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on the decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on the mobilisation of the European globalisation adjustment fund in accordance with point 28 of the inter-institutional agreement of 17 May 2006 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on Budgetary Discipline and Sound Financial Management (application EGF/2011/006/ ES/Comunidad Valenciana Construction from Spain). It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed?

The next is COM (2012) 396, (application EGF/2011/015/FC AstraZeneca from Sweden). It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed. The next is COM (2012) 450, (application EGF/2011/020/NL Zalco from the Netherlands). It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed. The next is COM (2012) 451, (application EGF/2011/019/ES Galicia Metal from Spain). It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed. The next is COM (2012) 461, (application EGF/2010/015/FR Peugeot from Spain). It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed. The next is COM (2012) 493, (application EGF/2012/002/DE Manroland from Germany). It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.
