All our documentation is translated into Irish. We have an e-portal site that the draft plan will be on. It is the first time we have used an e-portal and we use dual language in that regard. If anyone wants to avail of services or conduct their business in Irish, we have that capacity and that facility. We also receive applications in Irish and responses and decisions are given in Irish. I am not saying that is tokenistic but it is done on that basis. Galway city is embedded as a bilingual city and it is not unusual for us to hear that in a commercial capacity. There is a certain pride with regard to it. That is outside a planning context but we labour to get it more there in the visual aspect. That is very important. We want to normalise it, as we said in our documentation. People being able to respond as to where they live geographically with an Irish address is a very strong overture which has been achieved through language planning. There is a lot of co-operation based on that with regard to work with NUI Galway and Gaillimh le Gaeilge. It is about taking up more of the language, heritage and the embedded historical legacies from those geographical areas as well.
