To assist the committee in producing its report I ask that the Policing Authority and the Department of Justice and Equality forward to the committee a concise written submission on its oversight role in respect of An Garda Síochána, with specific reference to the Templemore issue. If the committee is to detail the functions of the Policing Authority and the Department in its report, we will need that information.
