To ask the Minister for Health the number of hospital and outpatient appointments that were missed, cancelled, or scheduled but not fulfilled in the past 12-months; the breakdown by specialty (including cardiology, urology, and geriatric medicine); the reasons recorded by the HSE for these missed or unfulfilled appointments; and the measures being introduced to improve communication with patients so that they do not miss appointments owing to delayed or unclear notifications.
