My Department complies with requirements in public tendering to ensure good governance.

My Department publishes details of all Purchase Orders for goods/services (including consultancy services) in excess of €20,000 on its website each quarter which is available at this link: www.gov.ie/en/department-of-transport/organisation-information/departmental-purchase-orders-greater-than-20000/#2025.

Public procurement practices in my Department are subject to audit and scrutiny by both the Department's Internal Audit Unit and by the C&AG under the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993. My Department is also subject to the reporting requirements under Circular 40/02, Circular 5/23, Circular 9/24 and it also reports on procurement compliance in its Annual Appropriation Account.
