Uisce Éireann has statutory responsibility for all aspects of water services planning, delivery and operation at national, regional and local levels. Water services connection charges, for public water connections, are an element of Uisce Éireann’s water charges plan which is subject to approval by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU). The CRU has statutory responsibility for regulatory oversight on an independent basis of the charges levied by Uisce Éireann.
