My Department continues to review and follow guidance issued by the National Cyber Security Centre, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, and the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery and Reform on the use of Artificial Intelligence.
All staff have access to the One Learning, the Civil Service Learning and Development shared service, One Learning includes a module of "AI in the Public Service". A communication of this course availability was issue to all staff.
When introducing AI technology to staff, training will be provided in a manner that is proportionate to their role, level of use, and prior experience. This will ensure that each staff member receives the knowledge they need to use AI safely, effectively, and in line with the EU AI Act.
