I can inform the Deputy it is expected that an announcement of a decision on the ten new Family Resource Centres will be made in the coming months.
The securing of additional funding in Budget 2026, allowing Tusla to increase Programme membership to 136 members, is a very welcome development for an additional ten communities in need of the comprehensive range of services offered by Family Resource Centres.
In relation to annual funding, I recently announced in a press release on 14th November 2025 that the minimum core funding level for Family Resource Centres will be increased from to €160,000 to €180,000 from January 2026. The 10 new Family Resource Centres will each receive €180,000 in annual core funding. The increase to minimum core funding will also benefit 100 of the 126 existing Family Resource Centres around the country, whose current core funding is below the new €180,000 minimum level.
