458. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he plans to have an agriculture attaché to the Irish embassy in Singapore; the locations currently where agriculture attaché are located at Irish embassies worldwide, in tabular form. [67637/25]

One of the key objectives of Food Vision 2030, the shared stakeholder strategy for the agrifood sector, is to explore, develop and maintain overseas market opportunities for Ireland's high quality, sustainably produced food and beverages.

To assist this objective, my Department has a network of Counsellors and Attachés who are seconded to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and based in a variety of Irish Embassies across the world. In their postings, our network of Counsellors and Attachés work closely with the Bord Bia overseas team and other State Agencies to promote high quality Irish food and drinks and assist companies in maximising opportunities to export their products.

At present there are no plans to appoint an Agriculture Attaché at the Irish Embassy in Singapore. However, Bord Bia does have a presence in Singapore.
